Update on shooting of Italian hostage
No big surprise, mainstream reporters left out some very critical information from a military press release:
U.S. troops “attempted to warn the driver to stop by hand and arm signals, flashing white lights, and firing warning shots in front of the car,” the statement said. “When the driver didn’t stop, the soldiers shot into the engine block, which stopped the vehicle, killing one and wounding two others.”
Sure, US troops shot at the car, but it was the speed of the car when it crashed which killed the Italian agent and wounded Italian journalist Giuliana Sgrena.
Trying to speed past a checkpoint was a pretty idiotic thing to do. These weren’t masked Islamic terrorists trying to stop the car. These were uniformed US soldiers at a roadblock. It’s awful that this shooting happened, but it’s not quite the field day that is sure to be made from all this.

thanks for the link
I don't believe in the war (support the troops being from that "family", but not the war), but I also don't believe in the misinformation that mainstream media is spewing out from BOTH sides. The truth never seems to make it past the ratings auditors. The news hurts everyone more than it helps.
